2009 SCNCA CX Championships Awarded
The 2009 CX Championships have been awarded to Successful Living's Convert Cross at Lake Casitas on November 22nd. Lake Casitas Recreation Area is a beautiful venue located in Ventura, CA. It is nestled in the rolling foothills of the Los Padres National Forest. The location offers a variety of amenities for families as well as providing an exciting venue for a cyclocross race. Many participants have noted this as one of the best courses in Southern California, as well as one of the most scenic venues. The 1.9 mile Convert CX course consists of a blend or road, grass, and dirt conditions. Many tight turns, off camber corners, high-speed turns, multiple dismounts, await the riders, all in view of beautiful Lake Casitas. An attempt to blend together Providence RI bowls with Kansas City KS off camber corners, creates a difficult course that allows riders to have some fun at the same time.
